Phosphoranes adopt a trigonal bipyramidal molecular geometry with the two apical bonds longer than the three equatorial bonds.
2.
The [ Zn ( OH ) 6 ] octahedra have four long equatorial bonds ( at 2.157 ?) and two short apical bonds ( at 2.066 ?).
3.
With lithium oxide and sodium oxide it reacts to form salts of Se VI O 5 4 " and Se VI O 6 6 " : With Li 2 O, it gives Li 4 SeO 5, containing the trigonal pyramidal anion Se VI O 5 4 " with equatorial bonds, 170.6-171.9 pm; and longer axial Se-O bonds of 179.5 pm.
